SCHEDULE FOR TEEN SEMINARS:

  • DAY ONE : Check-in: 8:30-9:00 am. Seminar begins at 9:00 am and ends at 9:00 pm.
  • DAY TWO : Seminar begins at 9:00 am and ends at 9:00 pm.
  • DAY THREE : Seminar begins at 9:00 am and ends at 9:00 pm.
  • DAY FOUR : Seminar begins at 9:00 am and ends at 6:00 pm.
(6:00pm begins the celebration for friends and family)
    *Adult seminars may go longer.

Please help support yourself by clearing your schedule of any other appointments or commitments during the four days. It is very important that you stay the entire four days. If these days conflict with other events, please choose very carefully if you want to be in this seminar. Initially, the participants think this will be an unbearably long seminar and sometimes object to the hours. However, after the first day they usually love being together and the time goes by very fast. They are busy and having fun!

We keep this seminar private and we ask that parents and friends not interrupt the seminar (except for emergencies of course). This privacy respects the participants's process. We encourage the participants to discuss with you their experience after the seminar.

Meals:
Participants will need to provide their own meals. There are four lunch hours and three dinner hours.Teens can also bring snacks for breaks. A few fast food restaurants are near by.

Transportation:
Please make arrangements to have your teen on time to the seminar each day. If transporting will be a problem, please let us know and we can help with car pools.

What To Wear:
Please have your teen dress comfortably and casually. We suggest dressing in layers so your teen can adjust their comfort level to the temperature outside and in the seminar room.

What To Bring:

  • Pens
  • Pillow and blanket for times when we lay on the floor
  • Water bottle (optional).

Off-Site Information:
Teens will eat their lunches and dinners off-site at nearby restaurants. THE STAFF OF CORE SEMINARS DOES NOT SUPERVISE OR HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT TEENS DO DURING BREAKS.

Behaviors That May Result In Dismissal From This Program: If your teen is disruptive to the seminar in such a way as to interfere with other participants in the seminar, he / she may be asked to leave. The Facilitators will make every effort to work through any behavioral issues, however, there will be limit as to what will be tolerated. If a teen is asked to leave for behavioral problems during the first day CORE will refund the tuition minus the $200 deposit. After that there will be no refunds.

Celebration:
The last evening of the seminar, the parents / guardians and special friends are invited to join us at the seminar at 6:00 - 7:00 for a special celebration. This is a way to honor the teens for their participation in the seminar and for the teens to share with friends and families what the experience has meant to them. Some parents bring cards and flowers to the celebration as a special way to acknowledge the teens.

This seminar is a very intense and often profound experience for teens. Together they create a very healthy and positive four day adventure. Your support in getting them back and fourth and clearing their schedules is truly an acknowledgement of your love and support of them. The staff at CORE seminars thanks you for your commitment to your teen.
